About LCDS

Lancaster Country Day School is a private, independent, non-sectarian, coeducational, college-preparatory school. Founded in 1908, we now serve families from Lancaster and five surrounding counties in southcentral Pennsylvania.

On our 26-acre campus, about 500 students experience geographic, racial, and socioeconomic diversity combined with rigorous academic standards. And with our uncommonly low 8:1 student/teacher ratio, each of our students enjoys the rewards of a truly multi-dimensional education.

All of our students, from preschool through twelfth grade, are included under one roof – an increasingly rare approach which helps develop individuals who share a strong sense of community.

Our goal is to challenge, support and connect with our students – to give each of our young people the maximum opportunity to pursue their interests, their abilities, and their dreams.

We chose LCDS because of the small class size, the strong sense of values, as well as the exceptional academic environment – we found all this, plus so much more.
