All-School Picnic – Ann Fulton and Suzanne Woodard
Provides planning and direction for the September picnic that marks the beginning of the school year.

Alumni Council – Bernadette Gardner
This position serves as a representative between the Alumni Association and Parents Association.

Athletics – Marty Daggett
Plans and coordinates the Holiday Plant sale with the proceeds benefiting Cougar athletics.

Book Fair – Sharon Sherban and Karin Andrews
Plans and coordinates annual Book Fair event’s.

Used Book Fair – Jayme Rhoads, Sandy Wege and Lissa Holland

Bus Trip – Beth Otto
Plans and coordinates annual New York City bus trip.

Class Parent Coordinators/Service Learning– Vicki Daniel
Class parents are appointed for each grade to work with classroom teachers or grade-level advisors, planning activities related to curriculum studies, field trips, and holidays. Class parents may organize a telephone chain for the class, recruit chaperones for class trips, organize a gathering for all class parents, or provide refreshments for various school events. All of these should be first approved by the Division Head or homeroom teacher in Lower School. This committee also works closely with the school staff to provide assistance for service learning projects.

Lower School – Julie Vanasse

Dining Commons – Mary Ann Brown
Two parent volunteers are needed daily to assist food service. This is a great opportunity to observe students and staff in a relaxed atmosphere. No experience necessary and no washing dishes!

Drama –Diane Velletri and Colleen Jacobsen
This committee works directly with Ms. Renee Allen to assist the theatre department. Receptions are typically held after each performance.

Gardens/Plant Sale – Mary Renner and Kendall Stonerook
The Gardening Committee is composed of experienced and novice gardeners who monitor and improve the appearance of the school gardens.

Library – Martha Swartz
Volunteers work in 1-2 hour scheduled time periods, assisting the librarians in shelving books, updating the card catalog, logging in new publications, checking books in and out, or doing other special projects. They also help with the annual inventory at the end of the school year.

Music –Ellen Stover and Anne Warfel
The music committee supports the school music program by serving refreshments after concerts, sponsoring benefit concerts and programs, and assisting with special events such as school musicals, field trips, and LCDS participation in events at the county and district levels.

Outreach Liaison (Admissions Office) – Martha Swartz
This committee supports the efforts of the Admission Office in two vital ways. We look for volunteers who like to welcome potential new families at Open Houses and other vital events as well as welcome new students and their parents at New Student and Parent Orientation. Secondly, we look for volunteers who can support various administrative needs in the Admission Office by providing data entry, assisting with mailings, etc.

Teacher Appreciation Day (TAD) – Kimberly Withers and Kerri Behmer
This annual luncheon is a way for Parents Association to show appreciation for the faculty and staff of LCDS. Volunteers set up and decorate tables, serve a gourmet menu of sandwiches, salads, and homemade desserts, and proctor classes so that the guests can enjoy their lunch.

Wrapping Paper Sales – Liz Peters and Becky Bartos
Plans and coordinates annual Sally Foster gift wrap fund-raiser.
